Quick Chronicles— Stories from Rapid Response TV: Bosley

When COVID-19 hit the United States, our partner Bosley, The World’s Most Experienced Hair Restoration Expert, quickly adapted their practice by offering free video consultations to help patients learn about their proven hair restoration solutions.

Bosley needed their marketing messaging to adapt, too. They started with broadcast TV, the channel with the greatest reach, so they could share this offer with as many potential customers as possible. They gave us a call, and we got to work.

We worked together to update their current TV spot. We called out Bosley’s free video consultations offer by adjusting the voice-over and on-screen graphics. We also added a scene at the end of the spot to show what a video consult call looks like.

At the same time, our teams updated their TV conversion funnel. Bosley uses our AI chatbot, Abbot®, to convert customers when they send a text in response to their TV spot. We edited all of Abbot’s scripts to call out the video consult to ensure their entire marketing funnel was in sync.

Bosley’s patients didn’t miss hearing from this category leader for long; in total, Bosley was off-air for fewer than 3 weeks.

Check out Bosley’s new commercial, as well as their press release for more details on the free video consultations, below.

Bosley launches video consultations to better serve patients during the Covid-19 Crisis

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – April 10, 2020 – Hair loss solutions expert Bosley quickly adapted their practice by offering free video consultations to help their patients learn about Bosley’s proven hair restoration solutions.

“While these times can be challenging and filled with uncertainty, Bosley is trying to do our part to not only protect our patients and employees, but to also provide the vital information, products, and services that our patients desire,” said Rob Spurrell, CEO and President of Bosley.

During the video consultations, patients will meet with an experienced Bosley hair restoration expert.  They will have an opportunity to ask questions, hear about special offers and learn all about the available ways to restore hair.

Patients can use a variety of video call applications through their smartphone or home computer.  Bosley can help walk the patient through how to conduct the video consult on whichever service the patient prefers.  Video services that allow for screen sharing are best so that examples of results others have achieved, before/after photos, can easily be shown using the share screen feature.

“The feedback we have received from patients participating in our video consultations has been fantastic.  The patients feel comfortable, enjoy the experience, and learn valuable information about how to get their hair back” says Amy Miller, Director of Patient Counselors.

Chris W., a Bosley patient who recently completed a video consultation said, “The Bosley video consultation I did was fun and easy to do.  The counselor was friendly and knowledgeable. I got all my questions answered and scheduled a tentative procedure for May.”

Bosley is America’s most trusted hair restoration expert pioneering the latest technology of proven solutions for restoring hair.  Adapting the use of video consultation technology has allowed Bosley to bring consultations to patients, safely during the Covid-19 crisis.

Bosley currently offers a wide variety of the most advanced and proven hair restoration solutions including hair transplantation, scalp micro-pigmentation (SMP), platelet-rich-plasma (PRP), The Bosley Revitalizer® laser therapy cap, finasteride prescriptions (where appropriate), topical minoxidil, as well as their line of supplements, shampoos, conditioner, and other scalp products.

To schedule a free Bosley video consultation, people can go to www.bosley.com.  Plus, they will receive a free information kit to more about hair loss and hair restoration.

Dr. Ken Washenik, Medical Director at Bosley said “We are excited to offer people seeking answers about hair loss video consultations at this time.  It’s a great way for them to learn about proven hair loss solutions from the comfort and safety of their own home.   As always, the health and safety of Bosley’s patients and team members are our top priorities.  That will never change.”
